Loggr stores all data exclusively on your device. This includes:

• Journal entries and notes
• Categories and tags you create
• Usage statistics and analytics
• App preferences and settings
• Any other data you enter into the app

No data is transmitted to or stored on external servers. Your information never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.

Data Processing

All data processing occurs locally on your device. The machine learning models that power Loggr's categorization and analysis features run entirely on your Mac. This means:

• Your journal entries are never sent to external AI services
• Pattern recognition and insights are computed on-device
• The app functions fully offline after initial installation

Usage Analytics

Loggr tracks usage statistics within the app to help you understand your journaling habits and patterns. This data is:

• Stored locally on your device only
• Never automatically transmitted to us or any third party
• Only shared if you manually export it using the app's export feature

You have complete control over this data and can delete it at any time through the app's settings.

Update Checks

Loggr periodically checks for app updates to ensure you have access to the latest features and security improvements. During these checks:

• No personal data or journal content is transmitted
• No usage statistics are shared
• Only basic technical information required for the update check is exchanged (such as your current app version)

These update checks occur infrequently and use minimal data.

Data Export

You can export your data at any time using the export feature in Settings. Exported data is saved to a location you choose on your device. We have no access to your exported files.

Third-Party Services

Loggr does not integrate with or send data to third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app does not contain ads.

TestFlight Beta

If you are using Loggr through Apple TestFlight, Apple may collect crash logs and usage data as part of their beta testing service. This is governed by Apple's privacy policy and TestFlight terms. Loggr itself does not collect any additional data during the beta period.

Data Security

Since your data is stored locally on your device, it is protected by your device's security features, including:

• Your macOS user account password
• FileVault encryption (if enabled)
• Any additional security measures you have configured

We recommend keeping your operating system and the Loggr app updated to benefit from the latest security improvements.

Children's Privacy

Loggr is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
